Covet was fortunate to work with www.acrd.com.au/ on an innovative office fit out in Richmond. Takasho Ever Artwood was selected for a board room cladding feature. Designers have been drawn to the realistic and unique aesthetic of this Japanese timber palette, coupled with its excellent FR attributes.
A detailed and complex project has recently been delivered incorporating several Covet materials. The main feature being the Mitzosuki bolt fix battens wrapping the corner of the building (LED screen to come). All cut to exacting dimension in Japan. We were also fortunate to provide the 1x2mtr Art Board panels on the ground floor cladding, custom blue battens on the awning and lobby concrete tiles. The unique vision of the designers at www.four18.com.au was realised by the install talents of www.citytocoaststainless.com.au/ (battens), and http://www.alcladaus.com.au/ (cladding)

Its amazing where a web enquiry can lead. Covet Australia, Takasho Japan and S22 of New Caledonia recently collaborated on theMairie de Païta (Council building) in New Caledonia. A selection of Art Wood colours was chosen for this new building. it was important that a durable timber alternative capable of withstanding the harsh tropical environment was specified. S22 is now subsequently working with Covet to introduce the Ever Art Wood range within the Pacific region.

Covet exhibited at the recent DesignBuild Expo in Melbourne. This trade fair attracted designers, builders and developers from across Australia. Guests to the stand were particularly attracted to the Ever Artwood range from Japan as well as the Melbourne made 10mm Concrete overlay. The bespoke stand was erected in 2 days and will be rebuilt as part of our showroom.
Covet Artwood from Japan was recently installed in a new apartment development in Melbourne called Spectrum Apartments - Box Hill. Designed by KUD (http://kud.com.au/spectrum-apartments/) and developed by Shangyi Property (www.shangyiproperty.com.au) this building makes a bold, contemporary statement. The designer selected the Covet aluminium cladding system called Ever Artwood from Takasho Japan for the entry lobby. The battens employed were the 2-section ‘Kabebari’ system designed for ease of installation and concealed fixings. The project was pre-cut from shop drawings in Japan and involved over 600 battens. The designers and client were drawn to the fire rating (AS/NZ 3837 - group 1), realistic timber aesthetic, precision and low maintenance aspect of the material.
The Real 10mm Concrete Overlay was recently applied to the new offices of Select Group Architects. The colour selected was Concrete with 6mm Dove aggregate. The entry lobby, some break out rooms and hallway received this timeless finish.
Two Covet products were recognised by Architecture & Design in their "most popular products for 2015". This was based on the click through rates from the Architecture and Design product newsletter.
Covet was elated to receive recognition for the Concrete Overlay as the most popular as well as Ever Artwood also making the top 10.
Lorna Jane store designers sought a modern polished concrete floor for their Pacific Fair (Gold Coast) store.
Set-down issues combined with an existing concrete slab that wasn't going to present well when polished made them elect Concrete Overlay.
Covet recommended a self leveller to build the floor up 20mm then applied the 10mm Real Concrete Overlay. The result was a concrete background with 3mm marble aggregate. The floor was presented in a matte/honed finish (the desired result for most concrete connoisseurs).
Lorna Jane was able to achieve a unique, durable and very contemporary finish.
Concrete Collaborative have created another new bespoke concrete tile in the form of a scale or scallop. Recognised in recent US trade events and by the well known 'Interior Design' magazine these very ornate tiles are ideal for feature wall or floor sections.
